Dress of the Week

Look.At.This.Dress.  Seriously.  Amazing.  Okay, you can now pick your jaw up off of the floor.

I am also loving the bride’s advice about finding a wedding dress in unexpected places.  A wedding dress doesn’t have to be a “wedding dress”, per se. Look for ready-to-wear and off-the-rack gowns – you never know what gorgeous (and unique) dress you may find. This bride found a stunning couture cream Monique Lhuillier gown and went for it …

From the bride:

Per the dress, I knew I didn’t want to go traditional.  I wanted to wear something that I hadn’t ever seen before, because for my job, I’m constantly looking in magazines (often Bridal ones) for inspiration.  I felt like I had seen everything on the market.  Until I tried on my Monique Lhuillier dress.  It was a ready-to-wear piece in a natural color, and fit me perfectly.  The textural, ethereal quality of the dress  sold me.  Also, a tip, I was able to save hundreds of dollars in ‘bridal’ alteration fees because the dress wasn’t technically a wedding dress!  A nice perk.

I pride myself on being tacky and pray the paragraphs I scribble on the back of napkins will morph into a bestselling novel (or series...I wouldn't complain.) My hope is to post everything and anything I fall in love with, from gorgeous clothes to impractical shoes, home decor, in the kitchen, even the big scary future. And now, for my ranting...
