I am also loving the bride’s advice about finding a wedding dress in unexpected places.  A wedding dress doesn’t have to be a “wedding dress”, per se. Per the dress, I knew I didn’t want to go traditional.  I wanted to wear something that I hadn’t ever seen before, because for my job, I’m constantly looking in magazines (often Bridal ones) for inspiration.  I felt like I had seen everything on the market.  Until I tried on my Monique Lhuillier dress.  It was a ready-to-wear piece in a natural color, and fit me perfectly.  The textural, ethereal quality of the dress  sold me.  Also, a tip, I was able to save hundreds of dollars in ‘bridal’ alteration fees because the dress wasn’t technically a wedding dress!  A nice perk.
