Romantic + Eclectic Ranch Wedding

You have to see this natural and eclectic ranch wedding shoot to believe it … and, get this, the entire designed editorial shoot was inspired by zebras. Zebras. I couldn’t think of a more inspired subtly-zebra-themed wedding if I tried. Lucia of Utterly Engaged Magazine and Nancy of So Happi Together created a fictional wedding story inspired by the zebras at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, CA, pairing organic blooms and safari inspired graphic patterns to create a natural down-to-earth wedding that’s rich in textures and fashion.

Colorful Backyard Spring Party

I absolutely adore this backyard Spring-time party that Kate Headley threw for her friends! The brick patio, the classic glass soda bottles, the brightly painted chairs, homemade cake, rolled paper lunch sacks-turned-gift-bags at each place setting and sweet paper lanterns … this would make such a simple and sweet wedding or party theme (love the idea of a colorful shower) for Spring or Summer.

Art Nouveau Engagement Session

I’m perfectly smitten with this Art Nouveau engagement session from Ruffled Blog, event designers Pow Wow and Photographer Marilyn Nakazato. The colors and textures (plus candles, flowers, and gold confetti) are just fantastic (I’m tempted to decorate a room in my house just like this!)

My favorite feature? The marquee moon backdrop. I’ll also be dreaming of the bride-to-be’s gold sequin dress and that lush sheepskin rug.

Wedding Venue Ghost Chairs

If you have the ability and/or the resources, to provide your own wedding furniture, may I suggest these incredible design-forward ghost chairs? I should start by saying that I love, love, love lucite (there, I said it!) – and in chair form – it’s decor brilliance. In photographs, the ghost chairs looks absolutely stunning and really become part of the the wedding decor themselves.
