Tuesday Shoesday

I’m not typically a fan of yellow.  Though the color is bright and cheery, and let’s face it, stores like Anthropologie generally create stunning pieces in honey mustard and daffodil yellow, it usually washes my olive skin out and I shy away from the hue.  But these mustard yellow sling back bow pumps have completely caught my attention.

Dress of the Week

Jose Villa and Kate of flowerwild dreamed up this beautiful Adobe editorial shoot for Mag Rouge Magazine, and I can’t take my eyes off of the Claire Pettibone dress.  The deep v-neck, beige lace belt, and lush flower detail make this dress completely unique.

That beautiful orange, peach, and yellow bouquet is not too shabby either!

This + That – Citrus

That incredible-looking cake is actually inspired by Stella McCartney’s spring collection; Apollina created this Stella Cake (a Citrus Cake with Lemon Curd Filling and Orange Lemon Icing) with the collection in mind.

Not So Mellow Yellow

Admittedly, I tracked down all of the below yellow inspiration because of that birdcage veil.  The California bride actually DIY’ed her own birdcage veil with a canary yellow netting and attached it to a feather hair piece by Jade Rose Designs.

While soft yellows make for a chic wedding design, I say, where you go for color, go big.  These bright sunshine yellow splashes of color add so much character and plenty of fun!
